Yeah, if they only have a cycle of quests or missions that ends up repeating itself after a couple or weeks this will fail miserably.

Given how much money they've given us in recent quests, I expect the Mission and Bounty quests to reward about 1.5k per day and the pvp quests, 1.5k balth faction

I hope it wouldnt be something like killing lvl 7 charr boss somewhere deep in boring ascalon without any story behind it. I mean - "Kill Maim Deathrain!" - would that be something exciting?

I don't think you really understand what the Zaishen quests are going to be.

* Mission quests send you to replay storyline missions from each campaign.
* Bounty quests dispatch you to kill boss monsters in dungeons, veteran missions, and explorable areas.
* PvP quests challenge you to win battles in various PvP types.

Storyline missions, bosses in various missions and dungeons, and PvP wins. There is nothing in there about repeating one-shot quests.

Elite Area's, like FoW, UW, Deep and Urgoz. As Linsey already said there will be a quest involving Kanaxai.

Not new, and not exciting unless something other than copy/paste other parts of the game and long since been incorporated into other mmo's.

I haven't seen anything in that preview that says the daily quests aren't repeatable on the same day. It just says you may only have 3 of them total in your log. I'm guessing that means one of each, Mission, Bounty, and PvP. It also appears that they don't necessarily expire. So one could possibly repeat all or part of a quest so long as the reward is not acquired, and having an old quest would presumably stop you from getting the new daily quest.

tl;dr: We don't know they aren't repeatable. Wait for the actual update. This is only a preview announcement.

With Daily Quests Guild Wars moves closer to Everquest and WoW.... players will call in sick, skip school, and stop eating, so that they do not get behind on their Quests!

WTF 1.5k per quest?

Anet is high if they think that is enough reward lol, why bother grouping up when i can hop on my monk for 20 minutes and get a streak of 10 in RA?

1) Take two accounts.
2) Bury a mule on each account in elite outpost. Never remove them.
3) Use mules to ferry other characters via guild hall.

Problem solved.

Because, believe it or not, not everyone wants to do the same thing all the time. If this quest provides me a real reason to go repeat content that I haven't seen for a while, for rewards that I enjoy, I'll sure as heck be doing them. At the least, they give me a goal, every day, as soon as I log in I know they're waiting for me.

And there's no way you can get a streak of 10 wins in 20 minutes in RA. 2 minutes per win, with a minute of loading times, wait time both before and after, and random delays (like tanks or runners), not to mention the whole killing part...yeah, no frickin way.

that actually sounds like the whole point of this update

instead of, oh i'll do cof today and bogroots tomorrow maybe...but my friends are farming slavers all week long, so i guess i'll have to go h/h...
it'll be like, oh i'll do bogroots today because its part of the daily quest... and what do you know all my friends and even all these random strangers are doing bogroots as well today! must be my lucky day that'll i'll actually be able to play with someone!


another band-aid fix to the lack of a pugscene as far as i'm concerned...because looks like quite a few people will still just h/h it all.

No heroes and henchman allowed, wow, open some QQ threads allready.
People are already forced to party up for ursanway and now cryway and whatever overpowered pve skill exploitation builds. But you only see them in elite missions however, because those are tough enough to somewhat push pve skill exploitation.

If you want to join PUGs in those areas, sure, but you have to play certain roles within the organized team build and deal with the class discrimination somehow.
